The West Caney Creek Forty (#03019-04000) is a +/- 40-acre tract of timberland located about five miles east of Gurdon, AR near the community of Red Springs (North 33.91826, West 93.057758). The majority of the property consists of merchantable mixed hardood-pine. An intermittent creek drain flows along the northern portion of the property. The topography is generally flat to gently sloping. Access is with an open dirt woodsroad running northerly from Red Springs Road for about a mile. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soils consist of an assortment of sandy silt-loam soils that give the property an average site index of 86.2 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50 years).
